Tips on Applying Caulk
  • Remove any paint residue in the area to be caulked.

  • Use a putty knife or stiff brush to remove any old caulk before applying the new caulk.

  • Install caulk when the temperature is at least over 45°F, and be sure to follow the manufacturer’s instructions carefully

  • For best results, apply caulk when the humidity is low. This will prevent the cracks from swelling with moisture.

  • These measures will help ensure that the new caulk will set properly and adhere to the wall and window surfaces.
